Maslany won. No meltdown from me. Lena may have lost but 1/2 isn't so bad. Thrones didn't deserve a win in supporting actor with their chosen nominees anyway

lol lena and miguel were the only ones from GOT who deserved to win imo.
i guess i should just accept now that lena is never going to win, especially since no way cersei is surviving season 7

Downton Abbey is over so Lena can win next season when we get full batshit Cersei Which is sadly two years from now since they won't be eligible next year.

Emilia will probably get another, but Lena I think would always have the edge over her. I don't see any of the other ladies ever getting noms either. (But obviously that's hard to predict)

I felt Rami Malek would be a solid winner and he was .... I wanted Kate McKinnon to win but didn't expect it, she did!

Biggest disappointment : Ramin Djawadi was not even nominated, does not compute.

Thrones didn't deserve a win in supporting actor with their chosen nominees anyway I can't say I'm too upset about the Emmys' choices last night, other than no win for Lena. Season 6 was an improvement over Season 5, so way to go GoT on a best drama win. Tatiana Maslany got a long overdue win. No actress is doing what she's doing on TV. Rami Malek carries Mr. Robot well, a well deserved win. I agree Thrones did not deserve a supporting actor win with Kit and Peter (now if they had Alfie, Iwan or Liam in there...) in there. I was rooting for Jonathan Banks (another one who is long overdue for an Emmy) but I am happy to see Ben Mendelsohn win. Melissa Mc Bride from TWD will forever be on my Emmy snubs list. I would definitely have nominated her over Emilia and Maisie.

Good to see Iwan Rheon there, past two seasons he has had a major role to tote and done a great job of it. Useless to speculate on who didn't come, I guess there are many reasons. As a nominee sort of expected Lena, someone has probably found out why not, but too lazy to go looking for it. Natalie Dormer was probably busy. Too bad Kristian Nairn wasn't there , an iconic character on the show , but he did make it to the Red Capet this year ... one wonders if Gemma Whelan will be Red Carpet next year, she never seems to do that. Since Faye Marsay was Red Carpet and sort of important S6 thought she might have popped up. Kinda thought Jacob Anderson or Nathalie Emmanuel might pop up this year... One thing if there was an Emmy Party afterwards some times non attending cast show up ... but not sure about this year.
I learned something this year I never knew, tho it's not surprising, watching Trumbo I noticed that Academy Award nominees get a certificate , kind of an impressive one to hang on their wall. I wonder about the who cast and crew of Emmy winning shows, if you don't get hardware do you get a certificate ... something.

The nominations they had were naff, but they had some seriously deserved actors not nominated

In my head canon one of the other nominees for lead actress has said the whole "She's a 7 on a good day and I've been told I'm a 10" about Maslany
