Misread one of the categories as Best Dick. Interesting,..
Okay, campaigning for Michelle Fairley fan. Will include some Catelyn and Stoneheart stuff because I think the character and actor ought to be interlinked for this campaign. First, a copy/paste from the Cat thread: Because how dare a woman find herself incapable of loving (as she understands it) the product of her husband's extra-marital affair. I mean, the sheer cheek of it! How dare she! Seriously though, a lot of the criticism seems to stem from people who cannot get over the fact that she had a very human response to Jon Snow and found she could not love the living embodiment of her husband's infidelity. I know the sexism card is often trotted out when it isn't warranted, but here I feel it is. Had it been Ned unable to love Cat's illegitimate son, or whatever, I don't think he would get nearly as much hate. Because women have ovaries, so motherhood bitches! Thats part of why I love her so much as a character though. She embodies the Tully words of family, duty, honour, (in that order of priority) and you see this in all of her actions, even the ones people call out as being stupid. Family drove her to King's Landing; the letter from her sister and the attack on her son. Family led her to arrest the Imp at the Crossroads; on the evidence, she concluded he may be guilty of trying to kill Bran, and she knew if he reached Kings Landing her daughters and husband would be endangered. Family drove her to he Vale, relying (mistakenly, as it unfortunately happened) on her sister being welcoming to her kin. Family trumped duty and honour when it came to Jaime. Her daughter's well being was more important than petty wars. She advocated the peace option despite her grievances against the Lannisters because she wanted her family to be safe. All of this ended in catastrophe for her, with her thinking all three sons are dead, her husband dead, brother captured, sister gone mad, father dead, and her two daughters lost to her forever. It's all very tragic, and it's made even more so by her resurrection as Stoneheart. Even in death, she can't escape the grief that drove the last months of her life.
And now some stuff on ashy I love Michelle Fairley:
So, Michelle. I came later to the show and books, so they were already out when I started watching. I had none of the anticipation or speculation regarding the initial castings. And I can't say I was too familiar with Fairley before Thrones. But, from the moment I first saw her in the show I was sold. She captured everything about Catelyn in season one perfectly - her fierce protectiveness of her children, her quiet love for Ned, her strong sense of duty, her resentment towards Jon. All of it captured beautifully by Michelle through her body language, facial expressions, tone of voice. Does she look like Cat from the books as I imagined? No, not really. But I don't care. She embodies all about Cat that is important. Her arrest of Tyrion at the Inn of the Crossroads was a real highlight of the season for me, absolutely stunning performance. And her travel to the Eyrie and meeting with Lysa was brilliant. Moving on to seasons 2 and 3, I was very disappointed by the decision to sideline Michelle, even if it was to favour the wonderful Richard Madden. It seemed such a waste of an insanely talented actress, and a botching and misunderstanding of a wonderfully complex character. However, what we did get was outstanding. Even scenes where I don't particularly care for the content (I'm looking it you "I blame myself because I didn't love Jon" scene) Michelle absolutely killed it with her delivery. And of course, her exit in the Red Wedding episode really pulled on the heart strings and made me sob. Turning lastly to the decision not to return Michelle as Stoneheart, I think my feelings can best be summed up by FUCK YOU D&D YOU HAD THE GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY AND YOU RUINED IT! Um....in summary vote for me. Thanks

Team Lannister. Come on.
The Username(s!!!!). The avatars. My very first thread here was about Cersei. All I talk about are the Lannisters. Fuck Jon. Fuck Daenerys. It's been Cersei, Jaime, and Tyrion for me since day one. All i ever talked about during the season was them. Remember my valiant effort to get people to care about Cersei in the Cersei's Trial thread? I do.

I think we should definitely include Biggest Arya / Maisie Williams fan category, since we have a few hardcore Arya fans on this board.

Is my only chance of getting a Heartie, and I deserve it, I only lose my cool here when someone makes unfair comments about Arya and 99% of my problems with GOT are because it doesn't give Arya good enough material. No matter how chill I'm as a rule, I'm a hardcore Arya fan.

A girl has to present her case for the Hearties:
I know I'm not the most active member in the forum, and I barely participate in any books or show discussions, but there is a reason for that: my favourite character, Arya Stark, is not often the focus of this discussions, and when she is, I tend to be so passionate and protective about my favourite character I end up overreacting and not letting things go. If someone has an opinion about Arya I think is unfair, I will not let it go. I can't let it go, because over the last few years I've seen shitty opinions about Arya all over the place, most people only seem to remember that Arya kills people, while forgetting the kind of people she kills, and also all the trauma she has gone through ever since her father's household was slaughtered in King's Landing. She had to live on the run, had her possessions stolen, hiding from pedophiles and starving, she had to see how her father lied and confess crimes he didn't commit only to be executed for those false crimes, she had to keep living on the run pretending to be a boy among a group of thieves, rapists and murderers, was beaten bloody by Yoren, was ignored when she knew they were in danger, took part in a bloody battle and saw people die, and then had to be in charge of a group of orphans that would have never survived without her help. She is so loyal, she becomes a prisoner of the Mountain and his men just because they caught Gendry, became a slave in Harrenhal, frightened, abused and exposed to all kinds of monstrosities. Yes, she ended up killing a random guard to escape that hell, but the other choice was mutilation and probably dead once the Lannisters got the castle back. Then she becomes a hostage of the BwB and had to see another battle, got captured by the Hound, who was abusive towards her and all her suffering only led her to see how her family's army was massacred at the Twins while they were guest. Is no wonder she feels so depressed and lost afterwards, lost enough that when she finally leaves the Hound for dead she ends up going to Braavos, even though she wanted to reach the Wall, because she didn't have enough money, only the coin Jaqen gave her. After so much shit, she no longer knows what to do or where to go, which is why she is still with the FM in the books, she literally thinks she doesn't have anywhere else to go.
A part of me will always be angry at the show for taking all those nuanced, deep themes that make Arya who she is and turn such a complex and interesting character in a killing machine that goes around looking for vengeance, and even though we are lucky to have one of the bests actresses in the whole show portraying the character, both Arya and Maisie deserve better material than the one they have gotten since the end of season 3.
And I know it may seem silly to campaign for a Heartie that doesn't exist, but I think I (and other members that also like Arya, juat not like I do) have proven there should be one. And I should win it.
