From the books Theon: Lord Ramsay is the one Your Grace should fear. Stannis: I defeated your uncle Victarion and his Iron Fleet off Fair Isle, the first time your father crowned himself. I held Storm's End against the power of the Reach for a year, and took Dragonstone from the Targaryens. I smashed Mance Rayder at the Wall, though he had twenty times my numbers. Tell me, turncloak, what battles has the Bastard of Bolton ever won that I should fear him? Theon: You do not know him. Stannis: No more than he knows me. From the promo Jon: Battles have been won against greater odds. I've fought beyond the wall against worse than Ramsey Bolton. Sansa: You don't know him. I'm guessing that Jon's speech will be fleshed out to sound more like Stannis' speech. (I'll be honest, I did nick that from Reddit) They steal his crown his story and his nerves. Damn you D&D, do you have no morals? No lows you will not sink to? Doesn't matter, SNOWBOWL.

So is the implication that Melisandre has been traveling with the Snow-group all this time? Her and Ghost are hanging at the near by lodge.

I have lost count of how many times I've watched this. About 40 for me. And that's just today. Who knows how many times I'll have watched it when the ep finally airs.

Last night I spent like an hour watching it non-stop. I think that makes it at least 60 yesterday, and today I think I've watched it around 30 times I think. It's fucking unbelievable what a fucking TV show is doing to me. I imagine this is how parents feel right before the birth of a child

Truly, The Promo That Was Promised! And Jon saying the sentence that reveals the essence of his being at this moment makes me shiver:

Who'd want to bring back Jon if he's stupid enough to attack Winterfell when he has only 2,5k men, while Ramsay has at least 10k?

Guys, how much of the siege/battle in Meereen will they realistically show? Will we see dragon action? It's just so weird, because this almost has the potential to be even heavier on CGI than SNOWBOWL itself. But we know it won't be bigger than SNOWBOWL. So yeah, how big will it be?

I guess it'll be something like Yunkai in Season 3. Theon and Yara maybe arrive?

They'll probably let the other two dragons loose to burn some of those ships. Which would be almost if not entirely CGI but if they keep that set at night it'd be easier to pull off. It would be a briefer sequence though, so I don't think whatever fighting ends up happening would cost anywhere near as much. IIRC the location that was shot at for the Dothraki charging the Sons of the Harpy for instance was only used for a day or two.

Jon following nearly the exact route of Stannis and just marching against a bigger army. Didn't even bother sending an envoy to White Harbor, the biggest house who still haven't chosen a side. He just knows that they will be saved. They slayed my hype when they decided to leave "the North remembers"-plotline out.

I think this single line from Jon to Melisandre can clear up some of the problems people have had with his "lack of change" after his resurrection. Unlike Beric, who thinks he has come back so many times for a greater purpose, Jon just wants to be dead. He worked so hard to help so many people and do what he could for the wildlings and the Watch and his friends, but he couldn't please everyone. He would be so much happier living on his own in peace (which very likely could have resulted in him taking his own life at the first opportunity), but the one group he hasn't been able to try to help needs him now. His goddamn family. We've seen him fight with Sansa about it and practically do the bare minimum to help, but I think its clear that its all a charade. He's helping her because he does love her and Rickon and the Stark name, but he's hiding the fact that he would have been much happier in death and only revealing it to the woman who brought him back and is just as depressed as he is. I know there have been jokes about Jon being whiny and sad all the time, but I don't think he truly has been until now. Every change we've seen in him has been subtle, but carefully watching every scene shows just the changes in his body language. He's more open, less bogged down by the cape and that's because he no longer has any regard for his safety. He's speaking up more often because he's learned that quietly doing what he thinks is right with the support of a few friends didn't work. He's never going to be the bloodthirsty, ruthless leader that some want him to be because that's not who Jon Snow is. But he is now thinking more about himself, yet not his own safety. He wants to help Sansa because he is a Stark deep down, but he wants to get this battle over with and has no fear of death. Looking back on it, the subtlety of the changes in him are done quite well and his request to stay dead this time really illustrates that.
Hopefully that was coherent. I can't fucking wait to hear the full conversation between Jon and Mel. She's been kind of marginalized this season, but this one scene will hopefully show the tragically beautiful connection they now share between life and death. The battle looks amazing but I think I'm most intrigued to see how this discussion between them plays out.
