DISCLAIMER: Leaks can be freely discussed here. Unsullied beware
One of the big plot points of the series this year is the trial of Cersei Lannister, the mother of King Tommen. After empowering the Faith Militant and their charismatic leader the High Sparrow, they turned on her and had everyone's least favorite Queen thrown in a cell. After starving and torturing her for a few weeks, Cersei confessed to sleeping with her cousin Lancel, and was forced to perform a walk of atonement through the streets of King's Landing. The other charges against her (Incest, Treason, Regicide) will be settled in a formal trial in the upcoming season. Everything we know: -Cersei intends to demand for trial by combat, with Gregor Clegane serving as her champion -the High Sparrow will deny her demand, and force her to submit to a traditional trial by seven septons -on the day of Cersei's trial, the High Sparrow will amass a crowd of nobles, mostly House Tyrell, to view Cersei's trial in the Sept of Baelor. He has sent for Cersei, and even though she has yet to show up, he is confident she will come to trial. -a giant massacre takes place in the Sept, killing the High Sparrow and the majority of House Tyrell -wildfire is used in the attack -King Tommen kills himself by jumping out a window around the same time as the trial Speculation: Ok so given all that, plus trailers and screenshots, and with the help of a lot of others on this site, I think we've pieced together the general timeline of the events of this giant event. Outside her chambers Cersei is confronted by the Faith Militant, including Lancel and Septa Unella. They have presumably come to escort her to her trial. Things take a violent turn At this point in time is when I assume the massacre at the Sept begins. But since HBO obviously didn't feature the deaths of several main characters in their trailers, I offer you this picture of wildfire, which may or may not be from this scene. This is where we delve into the unknown. Whatever happens at the Sept, we know the High Sparrow and Margaery, Loras and possibly Mace and/or Olenna are killed and that the Sept goes up in wildfire. Some time around here is when: Cersei storming into the Throne Room accompanied by Qyburn and the Mountain, sporting a new dent in his armor courtesy of the Faith Militant and their Quality Discount Weapons. Here to confront Cersei is: King Tommen himself, flanked by his Holy Kingsguard. What happens here is a mystery. Some me time around here, Tommen kills himself. So thanks for bearing with me! Does my speculation seem accurate to you? Anyone down to help fill in the gaps? Whatever happens, just know that I'll be experiencing some MADQUEENHYPE.

Good stuff this! I've been waiting for mad queen for some time. I always had a feeling it'd all come down to a grieving Cersei burning down KL, safe inside the red keep above the city as it burns. Then, afterwards, Jaime rides through, shocked that the thing he became a King slayer to prevent was done by the woman he loves. He finds a crazed Cersei talking about how they (the Sparrows, or the gods) took her children, so she burned them. In a fit of rage and grief of his own, Jaime kills her. Valonqar confirmed!

one question: if according to jonathan pryce, the HS is so confident Cersei will show up. i question whether he would send sparrows to the red keep to escort her.

I looked up Jonathan Pryce's interview to see exactly what he said, and I found a piece of it I hadn't seen yet. "People are speculating that this scene will be like the Red Wedding. The doors to the Sept of Baelor will be locked and while everyone is waiting for Cersei, Qyburn will blow the entire place up with wildfire." Source: www.fuse.tv/2016/05/jonathan-pryce-game-of-thrones-spoilerDammit Jonathan. I'm not sure if I buy this. It has his original quote, then this added bit. Seems a little too good to be true. I doubt Pryce would go into such detail about wildfire and Qyburn in an interview. Even if he didn't really say that, it's probably true sooo...

Lol that's what I figured. But like I said, it's probably actually pretty accurate

ALSO: thanks for disproving that interview thing.

Maybe the "I choose violence" doesn't happen in the grand finale, but before.
It might be connected to 1) the HS eyes a new target and / or 2) Olenna leaves the city.

I don't think it could plausibly happen any earlier. If Cersei goes full Mad Queen and slaughters a bunch of sparrows in the Red Keep then the HS would find out and try and have her re-arrested. And in that case she would have no choice but to attend her own trial, or if they couldn't capture her (more likely) then her trial would probably get cancelled, and they wouldn't set up expecting her to show because she obviously wouldn't.

Yeah I think Cersei would only go that far if it was part of a larger scale attack. She would only kill Sparrows if she knew no one would be alive to call her on it.

I'm unhappy that Cersei says 'Ser Gregor can't deal with them all' when talking about murdering all the sparrows. Isn't that the whole point of Ser Robert? That he's undefeatable? Coz he's already dead! So send him in to cleanse the sparrows! Dafuq D&D??

I just hope that at some point unGregor is beheaded, but he still keeps on fighting. Though I guess the proper time for that would be in a certain battle... Am I hearing sounds of HYPE?

So unGregor kills Lancel, the little birds stab Pycelle, High Sparrow, , Marge, Mace, Loras, and Kevan die at the sept, and then Tommen jumps from the window? Woah. That's quite a lot of deaths. And that's only King's Landing.
