And in my theory's defense: Coldhands came back late. They revealed Benjen Stark, and that actor hasn't been around since Season 1. Iron Islands were put on the back burner until later in the series. There ARE instances where they cut people, to be sure. But hell, they even brought Clegane back. And Walder Frey. And they keep mentioning the BwB. I'm telling you, it's going to be epic. I can't wait to imagine seeing your faces.

AND Jaime headed up there, AND Brienne is being sent there. I mean....c'mon!
I could go on and on about this. But I've triple posted, so I'll stop. But Sati should make my title LSH's Sworn Sword.
EDIT: FORGOT THESE

A generous 8, could have been handled a bit better.
++++ Blackfish/Jaime scene was tremendous. One of the best of this season. All the Riverlands scenes were solid gold this episode. +++ Jaime taking over the siege. Blackfish gambling with Edmure. Loved that. ++ The Hound's introduction was splendid. Seeing the scene before the intro was great. McShane was excellent. + No Meereen + More Stannis aftermath + Natalie Dormer as Margaery as a zealous Margaery is quite great to watch. Good to see that she hasn't lost her mind. +/- The North. The rallying of the Northern lords has so many ups and downs. Jon and Sansa seem totally helpless and unable and Davos has to save them. Lord Glover had great points and Sansa and Jon failed to argue those. I'm really surprised that they even get an army for 6x09. +/- Braavos was quite brief and "shocking", but still it was no better than mediocre. +/- The episode was decently paced and quite intact, but felt way too short. - scene with HS and Margaery was quite stiff and weird. (- No Wyman Manderly, I'm so scared) ---- Iron island is beginning to slide near Dorne. What the fucking hell was that scene again? Who actually writes these dialogues? Yara is a lesbian? Good riddance.

Gave it a 7. Some pros and cons: Good - Cold open with Sandor. I'm not really that fussed about his character, but the way the scene was done with the variation of the opening music got me grinning and really happy. Margaery and the HS and Margaery and Olenna. I'll be the first to admit that Natalie Dormer is not always he most inspiring actress on the show (very one note) but thought she was great in these scenes, especially her little slips showing how much it hurt her to send Olenna away. I guess this confirms that her turning to the faith is all a ruse. Theon and Asha. The brothel was a bit of an eye roll and unnecessary but I liked the portrayal of their sibling bond, and the acting by Gemma and Alfie was brilliant, as it has been all season. Lyanna Mormont. That girl was great and better be used more this season and next. Jaime bitch slapping Black Walder.
Bad - Jon and Sansa. Yikes, how bland, how uninspiring. Maybe that's how they were told to act those scenes, but if so they really overdid it because that was terrible. No wonder nobody wants to support them. Boring Cersei continuing to be boring. Bronn. I just eye roll whenever he comes on screen so that's just a problem I have with his character. Here is the heretical part...McShane. He was just a total miscast for this role, IMO. Real shame, great actor and the casting for GoT is usually wonderful, but McShane just didn't work in his role for me. This is a provisional negative in case one of the various theories I've seen proposed are true, but if Arya survives that stabbing i'm going to be a bit miffed. But I'll get over it.

Rewatched. Ironborn scene was pretty good actually, better on second viewing. Great acting from Gemma and Alfie. It's up to a 10

Probably a 7, but I gave it an 8 because Clegane's return was handled very well. I was shocked when Arya was stabbed, but I was confident she wouldn't die. They've got to beat her down that way her victory in the end is more powerful LSH is coming. I can feel it just by the ruthlessness of the BwB. Fucking ruthless. Obi-Wan once thought as you do... I know you bet big money on her returning, but I'm really starting to think her character is cut. Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry?

Yara saying something like "You've had few bad years" triggered me so bad that for a moment I hated her.
I don't see a reason for making Yara lesbian.

I imagine because she's one of the only main female characters that they could have be gay without impacting relationships from the books. And Yara is more of your stereotypical lesbian character so there's that. It's a pretty easy choice IMO.

That line she said didn't bother me too much because how could she really know how much he went through? It's similar to what Missandei said to Tyrion: he knows about the horrors of slavery, but he doesn't understand. She knows what Theon went through, but she doesn't understand how that changed him. And the lesbian change isn't that big a deal. Doesn't affect the story at all really.

Honestly nothing Yara said was as bad as Sansa Heiress dissing Davos for securing Mormont men

I'm going out on a limb here and saying the reason she is a lesbian is because she is sexually attracted to women. I suppose she could be bi though. There really doesn't need to be a reason, is my point. Nothing in that scene changes whether the prostitute is male or female.

Yep, and she makes pretty clear in that scene how much she cares for Theon, even if she is employing "tough love" to try and help him. I've really loved seeing their sibling relationship grow this season. Asha would do anything for her brother. She is swiftly becoming a favourite of mine
