If the old foe mentioned in the synopsis isn't Walder Frey, it could be Drogon. Though I don't think anyone else than Walder qualifies, as he's a villain, the other possibilities (Benjen, Sandor etc) are not. With the Blackfish taking Riverrun mentioned last episode, I don't see how it could be anyone else.

I feel like we may be in for a shock with a recast Benjen. Joseph Mawle seemed completely lost when they asked him if his character could return to GOT.
Maybe he's just a good actor that way, though.

It would be a little difficult to get into a totally different actor for Benjen if they did that but I remember we did discuss this back during filming speculation that Joseph Mawle hadn't been seen anywhere during filming and when asked at another event, said he had no idea about returning but yeah, he could have been covering it up like everyone else did on Jon Snow too as they were trying hard to keep a lot of things under wraps.

Do we have any reason to believe that the guy on the horse is indeed Benjen? Maybe it is Coldhands. Or it is Benjen, but we don't find out that it's him until later, maybe even next season?

Maybe he's just pulling a Hot Pie. Did anyone even know he would show up in season 4?

Exactly, it could go either way at this point. But if he comes back, I think he'll outlive many characters. Especially the Season 3 generation that's returning this year.

It'll be a Benjen/Coldhands hybrid. I really don't care as long as Meera lives. I don't want Bran to lose anyone else.

In the attack on the Sparrows a whole army seems to be there ... but where is Big Bob Zom, Klankenstein?

He's "programmed" now to be her personal robot protector. So wherever Cersei is at that moment, that's where he is too and apparently she doesn't go to the outdoors display of force with the Tyrell troops. Jaime leads that show. She's banned from the Sept if what we remember High Sparrow and Tommen talking about is still the rule.

Honestly, I'd rather Coldhands than a recast Benjen. Joseph Mawle or nothing, I say. I couldn't agree more. This scene has so much more potential if Joseph Mawle is in it. It could be upbeat Stark reunion and everyone could rejoice. It would be a bit awkward to see them introduce recast Benjen Stark. He lifts his hood and no one recognized him. Just imagine him shouting "Bran!(if Bran is not in a "coma")" and lifting his hood and revealing himself to the audience. * cue Stark theme*

I hope Bran doesn't get too happy when he sees Benjen that he forgets about what just happened to Hodor. It was kinda like that when Jojen died - he sort of moved on immediately and asked Bloodraven if he would walk again and seemed to forget about Jojen. But I'm hopeful seeing as how Hodor was a far more memorable character, and Bran didn't see his death coming, like Jojen did his.
