To all the HUTHT moms, I wish you a wonderful day. Moms are the rocks of our lives and I'm sure your children are very lucky to have you.

Wow I don't know how I missed this entire post earlier today and several people even tagged me in it... somehow my notifications got wiped clean - I think tapatalk does that on my phone or something. Anyways, thanks a bunch y'all for the Mom's Day wishes. Some of you I feel like you're my sweet kids too. My little boy and I spent the day relaxing, went for a long walk in the rain and got some frozen yogurt at our favorite spot we can walk to easily. I try to avoid the crush and traffic on this day since that's NOT relaxing. We ordered in some food this evening and it's been the BEST relaxing day. I love my two boys (My eldest called me and sent me a card). I am a very lucky Mom.

I'm glad they got the Walda scene out of the way last week.

I'm glad they got the Walda scene out of the way last week. Yeah that would have been pretty awful for Mother's Day. It was awful no matter what day ...

I talked to my mom so long earlier today her voice got hoarse. And I don't remember a single thing we talked about. My mom is one of the few people I'll just shoot the shit with on the phone.

I see my mother every day we go to work together and she does pretty much everything for me. Last year we had a cancer scare and she had to have a complete hysterectomy. If the cancer had spread she would have about 3 years minimum to live. Lucky for us she is cancer free and we got to it on time. This year me and my brother paid for a ticket for both my parents to go to Europe with us. It's nice to take a moment to appreciate what your parents have sacrificed to give you a good life. Thank you mum and all the mothers out there. <3 i really need to watch the new episode

I'm an only child, and a mama's boy. I would feel so hopelessly lost if I lost my mom.

My mum is 63, so hospital and all that stuff is coming closer. She actually had a little breakdown due to stress and dehydration in March and she forbade my sister to tell me because I was so drown in university stuff back then. I was pretty angry at first, but that's what mothers do. Always put themselves last.

Same with me and my Mom. I do confess being a bit of a mother's girl. She's truly my best friend. Yeah, I've always been a big mama's girl too. I got really lucky in the mom department. She's kind of perfect. We lost my dad when I was a little kid, and she raised my sister and me by herself with pretty much no money. We're both relatively happy and healthy with masters degrees because she always emphasized education. She's also had some health scares, including thyroid cancer and a total hysterectomy. And she just keeps on going like it's no big. So anyway, here's to moms. If yours is amazing, here's to yours. If yours wasn't or isn't, here's a giant hug because we all need a great mom. DaveyJoe thanks for starting the thread. I hope your mom is home soon.

@witchy, DaveyJoe, @igrewupinkl and@lauryacarax I hope your mothers are doing well and are on the mend. I feel the same way about my Mom, I lucked out with her. Her life was real tough growing up (she does not have happy childhood memories) and she is one of the strongest women I know. And last night, she got all feminist ranty on the phone with me, which I loved.

She goes off on feminist rants sometimes too, and I love it.

In addition to feminist rants, my Mom also judges people by their obituaries, which is kind of a weird hobby she has and I try to discourage. Like she's like, "you can tell if the families really liked that person or not by what picture they choose." And she swears I am going to die in a road rage incident and I'm like but people are rude drivers and she's like, "Baby girl, just no. I cannot go on the news be like, I told her so. I told her to have some chill...but no did she listen to me...noooo..."

It took her more than 10 years, because she was working full-time and raising girls who were into all kinds of things. She didn't do it for money or a promotion at work, but just because she wanted to know more and have the accomplishment.
