Hmm. Just realized that Ramsay's new stooge Harald is probably who Ramsay was pretending to be back in ep. 306 when he pretended to be a Karstark sibling to trick Theon. Funny old world.

Read all 34 pages, so there's not much to add but I love Carice van Houten's Dutch coming through when she speaks High Valyrian. I didn't get the opportunity right away, but as soon as I watched episode 2 I wanted to come here and ask about the language Mel was speaking during the resurrection spell. It seemed more guttural than the Valyrian we had heard in the show before. I wasn't sure if it was a new language, or Carice was just stealing the fucking show again.

It's weird that you guys didn't get subtitles. Our HBO BR here had them, fully translated and all.

Of course the best part of the video is this smile.

We got Dothraki subtitles last week, so it wasn't some type of setting issue. They just didn't translate it for our region. But like I said, Carice's recital was so unique and.. otherworldly, that I wasn't entirely sure what language she was speaking.

I thought I detected a hint of a different accent with her Valyrian over Emilia's and the other actors who have spoken it in the past. So Asshai must be similar to the Netherlands. Who knew! I guess since we weren't exposed to Asshai High Valyrian before (Mel talking to Thoros was probably "General" High Valyrian), they went with how Carice accent came through, same as with Pedro Pascal, I guess. I'm practising that resurrection spell right now, that chhhh sound must be hard for you Americans, right?

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but they added a behind the scenes featurette for the first two episodes on HBO Now, it's under the extras section for "Home". I didn't see anything new in the background but it was cool to see them talk about how they did some of the more complex scenes. It says is a 5 part series so it looks like they'll be releasing one for all of the directors. @rooseisazorhai , you should definitely watch these if you haven't. I liked what they said about Roose and Ramsay. But how? Are they on YouTube? Hmm. Just realized that Ramsay's new stooge Harald is probably who Ramsay was pretending to be back in ep. 306 when he pretended to be a Karstark sibling to trick Theon. Funny old world. Ramsay pretended to be Harrion. At first Theon thought he was Smalljon, to which Rams responded with the the hilarious "Do I look like a fucking Umber to you?" line. Theon's second guess was Harrion Karstark, whom Jaime killed back in Season 1. I guess D&D changed Eddard's name to Harrion and Harrion's name to Harald.

No, he just says something like "You never asked if I am a liar" and then proceeds to flay Theon's finger.

I thought you meant that Ramsay was pretending to be Torrhen, and then revealed that he can't be, as Torrhen's dead. Btw I just watched the very same video before answering you

Cool. Most of these things had occurred to me, but I never thought about the fact that each of them represents a different faction of early peoples: Andal, First Men, Valyrian.

Guys, only 3 days until I cry for days on end because I get to see the saddest scene ever, the scene I've been imagining in my head since 2001 or 2003 or whenever I first read AGoT.
