Took me a bit to find the leaked/rumored trailer commercial (??) info I've seen blurry pics of flying around: Has this been discussed elsewhere already? Apologies as I try to catch up on how much y'all have already seen. Yes, @konradsmith posted all the tweets that contained screen captures last night. It's in the S6 Spec thread.

Ok sorry for double posting it then, but this is the "General Leaks/Spoilers" thread so I wasn't sure where it should be posted!

Picked up the new EW. One of my questions was answered. Besides no screeners*, there will be more careful management of transmission of episodes more On-Time delivery.
*I still wonder how this will work for trusted outlets like Variety , New York Times ... and... suchlike?

It will work exactly the same. There will be no screeners.

I was just randomly googling shit, and came across this picture: That's just how the props were placed at the moment, right? Because that looks a lot like the wall made of bodies the "leak" told us about. I hope that shit won't happen, it would be ridiculous.

I think the wall made of bodies or something similar might be true. It does sound ridiculous now, but seeing it on screen for the first time could change your perception. Of course with that "leak" some of the details were fabricated or left out which made it feel underwhelming and somewhat confusing, so like the description of Hardhome that was released before the episode, I think it will be a lot more exciting than we think.

My gripe with the idea of that is not so much about the wall itself, but rather how it's formed. The soldiers and horses just dying in a way that they create a wall sounds far-fetched. I also doubt that they'd have time to build the wall during the battle.
Also 300 had a wall made of corpses.

So the pile of dead bodies I'm assuming would be pushed to one side and it also depends what happens during the massive cavalry clash.

I see the battle happening like this: The Boltons are winning and encircle Jon's forces. The KotV led by LF arrive. The Boltons greet them as friends, but they turn on them. Which would parallel the book version of Sack of Winterfell. At the same moment the Umbers reveal their true loyalty (or not, if the leak is correct).

Also the EW article mentioned the wall of bodies IIRC. I'm pretty sure the reddit spoilers said it formed because of how many men were packed in one area and the Bolton archers were shooting both Jon's men and quite a few of their own by accident leading to a fuckton of corpses. I imagine they'll be packed together using those huge Bolton shields.

I actually think it's a cool visual if they do it and it stands to reason that if you fire a fuckton of arrows into a mass of humanity and horses that are all in the midst of a chaotic battle, then you'd probably create a massive blockage of dead bodies.

True. I might just be a bit disappointed, like I was last year after reading the Hardhome synopsis. But it will still be Snowbowl, no matter how it happens.

Yes! A bunch of wights falling from a cliff and then being resurrected by the Night's King sounded underwhelming and cheesy on paper. But it was an awesome scene! So I'll wait and see. So far, I'm blindly trusting Sapochnik.

I don't think it's really the same as Hardhome because skeleton wights falling off a cliff and fighting is always going to sound weird before you see the SFX in action, but a battle with human forces should at least feel realistic even if it's not. All the reddit accounts of Jon's mission to Craster's Keep would be a better comparison for judgment, but idr if one of those was definitive for its accuracy.

There are usually little details that are wrong in reddit-based spoilers. The Hardhome ones confused WWs and wights as well as making it seem like the ones that fell off of the cliff then died and had to be resurrected which was a conflation of two big moments in the episode. With the Craster`s Keep leaks the poster called Mormont's skull "Morning's Skull". So they both got aspects of it all wrong. With this info again being from an extra, I think the same is true. But I believe the gist of the leaks, just not every detail.

Some aspects of the leaks are true, but I think most of it is bullshit.

These leaks are all filming leaks from extras and while they can convey some of the actual action that takes place, they aren't describing what the finished product looks like, how everything is edited, what the SFX looks like, who's perspective we're coming from, what scenes are intercut within, the score, really anything outside of "there was lots of fighting" basically.
