And here we have a master class in how not to manage a class of students who aren't doing their work (and are a different race than you, but really, any class...geez, lady.)

(Rant moved here because this thread is much more appropriate) Warning: Incoming RantSo on the same day Paul "Nutter" Nuttall won the UKIP leadership election, the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies said that "Higher water temperatures in 2016 caused the worst destruction of corals ever recorded on Australia's Great Barrier Reef". Nutter, who is now the leader of a major UK political party and (presumably) aspiring prime minister, has previously described climate change as a "hair-brained theory": He also believes in the privatisation of our National Health Service and has compared abortion to the murder of an unborn child (for which he believes the death penalty is the appropriate punishment). He's questioned Obama's "Kenyan heritage" and says Trump will be good for the UK. He thinks that the gay marriage court decision was a joke, saying "Aren’t people allowed to live by their religious beliefs in the country anymore?" while hilariously also wanting to ban the burqa. He wants a grammar school (paid education) in every town and wants to scrap the target of 50% of school leavers going to university because fuck education! He thinks the hunting act should be repealed. And the cherry on the cake is that Nutter was a former history lecturer. Obviously he must've left out the '30s and '40s. And in addition to all of that, Nutter mentioned today in his victory speech that Jeremy Corbyn "refuses to sing the national anthem". The fact that he has the fucking nerve to criticise Corbyn in that witchhunt whilst his predecessor, five-time UKIP leader and class A twat Nigel Farage, spent this year's Remembrance Weekend seeing how far he could crawl up Trump's rump in his golden elevator in his golden tower before later in the month attending a party with his millionaire backers at the Ritz - Oh! What working class, anti-establishment heroes! Ladies and gentlemen, the future Leader of the Opposition of the United Kingdom:

(and just the kind of person Trump will become BFFs with)

this is disgusting Marlon Brando is now ruined for me I know. I liked that movie too. I was able to be okay with that scene because I didn't know there was really something nonconsensual going on. Now that I know...and his excuse was that he wanted her to react as a "girl" not an "actress". So, he wanted her to really feel raped for the scene. Ugh.

It's weird to think about how much fucked up shit is happening behind the scenes in the film industry.

It's untethered Capitalism, which is what we were living for most of the 20th century. Hopefully it's a wake up call that forces the left to embrace real progressives instead of the fluffy and friendly Conservatives dressed as Democrats we've been voting for.

I've decided that Killer Mike is exactly right about the 14th amendment. Private prisons are just the natural extension of a system set up to replace slavery.

^ You might enjoy Oz, it's the first show I saw talk about how the country turned the justice system into a for-profit industry for big business. It's one of the biggest reasons I'm disenfranchised with the Democratic party, because despite claiming to be the party for minorities, Clinton's 1994 crime bill really gave teeth to the War on Drugs and helped the mass incarceration of minorities. Obama started to pardon some prisoners locked up on Marijuana charges, but that was too little too late as America's inner cities burned. My head spun when people called Trump a racist, at least he was out in the open, the Clintons are the smiling face of institutionalized racism.
