That wasn't a very good speech in my opinion. The music swells and Peter contorts his face, but the moment feels forced. It's really Lena that steals that episode.

The best things about Blackwater happen inside the keep and revolve around the female characters.

Hardhome>Blackwater>Watchers on the Wall I would have to second this. I would put Hardholme and possibly Blackwater in my all time top 10 (which I have to revise after season 5) but Watchers on the Wall isn't on my top 10.

The whole episode-wise Blackwater was better than Watchers on the Wall (the pacing, character chemistry etc), but I think in terms of battle WotW beat the Blackwater.
Hardhome was amazing, but tbh I consider it more of a massacre than a battle.

Hardhome was amazing, but tbh I consider it more of a massacre than a battle. About Hardhome: Well, at the start it has all the elements of a battle: leaders established (Thenn), people grabbing weapons, planning schemes, evacuating the elderly and children, etc. Also, it is long enough for me to consider it. Hence why I included it. But your right- it is a gigantic massacre once the gate falls down. The last sequence- where Tormund, Edd, and Jon look on helplessly confirms that. That, and by The Dance Of Dragons, it is implied that around 10% (at the very most) survived.
