.@gameofthrones: The Complete 5th Season is available on Digital HD on 8/31. Blu-ray/DVD release is set for 3/15/16: bit.ly/1eCQz4sHmmm...it's pretty cool that it's available for the first time through Digital HD and so soon, but the physical boxed set is releasing much later than usual. Isn't March 15th going to be just a few weeks before Season 6 premieres?

I'll wait for the bluray, I always get it for $30 thanks to Amazon's price matching and pre-order price guarantee. HBO's blurays are always good and have no compression unlike streaming.

I'd complain but I recently got an updated satellite deal (called Bell Fibe for all of my fellow Canadians here) where I now have the whole show on demand including s5...so now I don't even have to bootleg s5 to rewatch it like in previous years. Though, of course, it's not all good news; now I feel like an idiot for buying the previous season's DVDs because I can watch all of those on my TV in much higher quality now for free.

Last season we got a really cool round table of the characters that were killed. I'd love to see Dilane give us a little bit about Stannis. He seems like he wouldn't be up for that. McElhinney would definitely be up for that...

I don't recall seeing a roundtable of the dead for the Seasons 1-3 blu-rays, although I know there was special behind of the scenes for the Red Wedding.
Season 4 was fantastic. Here it is for those who never saw it

Rally the realm. #GoTSeason5 will be available on DVD & Blu-ray 3/15/16 w/ exclusive content: itsh.bo/GoTS5DVDBluray /photo/1 Looks nice. Still wonder why it's releasing so late. This will be like 2-3 weeks before Season 6 when normally it's closer to two months.

I'm interested to see these, since we only got 2 last year.

The Blu Ray is $80? Isn't usually half that?

I will genuinely listen to MM commentary. Someone better explain this episode to me.

The Blu Ray is $80? Isn't usually half that? I think S4 Blu-Ray was the same price when it came out.

The Blu Ray is $80? Isn't usually half that? That's the actual price if you bought it from HBO's store but everywhere else sells it for about $40 or so and if you pre-order it's even less.

The Blu Ray is $80? Isn't usually half that? TV series are outrageously expensive on blu ray, I think. I only have DVD and VCR so I don't think I'll ever be in contact with this technology

When it first came out, but it's been significantly reduced since then. It's less than $35 now.

From what I understand, The Dance of the Dragons extra will be Shireen telling the story to Davos and Stannis.
