I am really anxious to see Season 6, but then I realize it'd be next spring, and it's only September. Thinking that far makes me dizzy. Yay! Less than 7 months left.

Definitely a lot of greenscreen blocking and editing going on there! 500 extras for a 'crowd' seems like a lot to us, but in terms of the size of the crowd they seem to be wanting for this scene (thousands), it's not a lot when you space everyone out along these steps which are massive! My guess is they'll have the live extras in a few rows deep and everyone else behind them will be crowd sims edited in with computer wizardry. Can't WAIT to see this scene!! They probably want the KL scenery behind Jaime so with the green screen up they're also able to accomplish this. They did the same thing Cersei's WoS and then the crowds in the back were digitally added later. It's pretty amazing what they can do with CGI now especially when trying to expand the viewer's eye so that it looks like there are actually thousands there. Yeah I almost went back and re-edited my original reply about the greenscreens because I gave a bunch of examples where that was used but not the Walk of Shame which is a far more recent and related obvious example to demonstrate how this technique is used. Of course they did the same thing in Season 5 production to make it appear to be a much larger number of people crowded on all sides of the streets and to edit in the King's Landing background! Same thing for this massive new scene but with Jaime instead of Cersei. GET HYPE!

This is a good video on how they digitally added all those hordes of undead to the Hardhome scene if you're into behind-the-scenes stuff (I watch as many as I can find!) www.engadget.com/2015/07/08/game-of-thrones-hardhome-vfx-breakdown/

I must have seen this gif at least 10 times on this forum. It's mostly @daveyjoe who posts that. Usually in association with CLEGANEBOWL.

Huh, so Lancel's growing out his hair now. I think he just arrived in Girona so maybe he hasn't started filming his scenes yet.

From yesterday's WotW post - Oldtown in Girona now confirmed. This shot from the cathedral of a truck with armor in it was interesting as well: Along with the info we got about the horse riding up the steps, the 500 extras for a large crowd scene, the greenscreens going up to edit in more crowds and the rider confirmed ... this is shaping up to be one of the big scenes of the season. These armor sets look like there's red on the metal - possibly Lannister guards? I don't think those are red cloaks, just a red covering they had on them.

And here are some Tyrell guards all dressed up for today's filming! While those are propably good in battle, the Tyrell armour just looks kinda floppy. I like the Lannister soldier armour most. Or the Baratheon.

I'll just copy-paste my post here: There is some new information about the filming in Peñiscola, it is basically information about the streets and places that are going to be affected by the GoT filming: Plaza de Santa María The Tunel surrounding and the way up to the Portal FoscPlaza de Armas:

Thanks for re-posting here Cami! Fun to keep track of filming as it goes along. The first post of this thread was back at the end of July. I think it was the first bit of info we had to start the season 6 months of filming and going onward for all the different beautiful locations. Now we're mid-Sept and in full swing with filming so it's great to have the photos of these Spain locations.
Also noteworthy are the dates from your post in the speculation thread you said:

Adding these because I think they're good for our album: And... King Tommen and Queen Margaery being escorted out of the Sept by Kingsguard! And... To the rescue! ...
