I don't know exactly what is going on in the last page or so. But I don't appreciate people who have indulged in spoilers posting cryptic messages here. For better or worse, I want to be surprised, and I've actively avoided almost every season 6 thread to ensure that.

For better or worse, I want to be surprised, and I've actively avoided almost every season 6 thread to ensure that. I don't know if this will hurt or help, Davey, but the stuff Witchy and Al put in spoiler tags was just speculation and guessing based on episode 6x08 alone and nothing else. I think they spoiler tagged it because you don't always see the episode right away the same night. I really don't think there are any leaks in existence about Cleganebowl anyways. But alas, this thread should have only been for your hype fun, so my apologies if I contributed to derailing it.

I have an idea about how Cleganebowl could go down post-Tommen's announcement.
Beric and Thoros have heard rumors about the White Walkers, or perhaps the Lord of Light has shown Thoros something. At any rate, they know death is coming, and they have a sense of purpose now that is larger than killing the Mountain or protecting the small folk. They believe they have been chosen to save the world, and they believe that Sandor has as well. FUCK YEAH! So, I think they're going to decide that they need to convince the idiots in KL that there are more important things. Maybe they will try to team up with the Seven, or maybe they will try to confront the Seven. Either way, they end up in KL just as Cersei's trial is to start.
Cersei is not interested in getting executed, so she has Qyburn put the wildfire to use. Not sure if this happens during a trial or before it can start. The green flames go up, devouring everything. Lots of innocent people are trapped inside, including the Tyrells. The Brotherhood arrives and try to intervene. The Mountain is blocking their path. Cleganebowl commences. Sandor kills his brother because he is better, even though he is smaller. The Brotherhood is able to rush in and save some folks, maybe even the Tyrells. Jaime is there too, and he rushes in and saves Cersei, fleeing with her to Casterly Rock (or he wraps his fingers around her white throat and squeezes the life from her because she is already dying...not sure which.)

I think some folks are overthinking things. Tommen made a decree, so what, with the prophecy, we know his days are numbered, and Cersei will almost certainly out live him. From a storytelling perspective, Sandor probably wouldn't have been brought back if he wasn't going to find closure with his brother one way or another. It doesn't matter how, but they will fight. During episode 8, I didn't think for a second that they wouldn't meet again. I do agree that Tommen's decision has basically escalated the situation for Cersei, and she needs to act much more drastically. I think the King's Landing burning scene will come a lot sooner than we thought it would. What could they possibly be referring to in this scene? The stores of wildfire is the only thing I can think of.

Definitely the wildfire. Jaime talked about how fiercely Cersei and Cat loved their children. And then he gave as examples of the way fierce women show their love: freeing their worst enemies (Cat) and burning cities to ash (Cersei.)

Yeah, and Cersei has threatened multiple times to burn the city to the ground. The theory has been well established in the show, which is much less fond of foreshadowing than the books are. It's almost guaranteed at this point. Will it happen as early as 6x10? Tommen has practically forced her hand.

I thought that was a curious point for Jaime to make since it hasn't actually happened. Definitely foreshadowing. Jaime knows about those wildfire stores, I guess he might be putting two and two together because Cersei definitely said "I would do anything for you. I would burn cities to the ground." to Tommen ... but Jaime wasn't there to hear that. Twin ESP?
