Never did an introduction. I'm Rory. I enjoy music, armchair football, the occasional drink and bad movies. Also Game of Thrones. I lead a very interesting life. I also play video games. Fallout New Vegas. A lot of New Vegas. Too much New Vegas. Today I ate Chicken fries at burger King. They were expensive but also nice. My friends stole some of my chicken fries. I was slightly upset but not a lot. See, told you I was interesting.

Hi everyone! I came here from westeros.org where I just recently began to post. I've been reading the forum for couple of years though. I binge-watched the first two seasons in february 2013 when I was quite depressed and it really helped me through the worst. I had pulled myself together and finished the books before the season 3 began. I strongly believe in the power of escapism.
I'm 26 year-old female from Finland. I like literature, history and mythologies and originally I wanted to do something bohemian. Then I thought I should grow up or something so I went to law school (wtf). Now I'm graduating and though I feel like some kind of a troll among lawyers there's some things I find very interesting.
I like Mae West - and Arnold Schwarzenegger-movies (rofl) ,woods, beer and Tom Waits. Hundreds of other things too but those came to mind.

Way fewer (rather than less) trollish-types here. In fact, none at all !!

Good use of Stannis one-liner. Thank you for the welcome.

Hello everyone, I also came from previously.tv. I'm a bookwalker and enjoy the show. I especially like the speculation in the ASoIaF/GoT fandom and it looks like there will be lots of it as the show is coming to uncharted waters. It looks like this has all the potential of a cozy place for ASoIaF/GoT lovers. Welcome! I'm not familiar with previously.tv, but I hope you settle in OK and enjoy yourself! We're a friendly bunch Thanks. I'll settle in.

Hi guys, I'm Mike and I know many of you from westeros.org. I admit to signing up a month ago but when I came to the site for the first time, I couldn't find my way around Is it obvious that I'm tech unsavvy? Anyway, I'm a 42 yr old teacher (rather new - it's my second career) and my students have figured out that I'm addicted to ASOIAF and keep asking me to get them the books. I would were it not for all the explicit stuff Can't get fired when I'm just getting started! I'm so glad I gave it a second try! Nice to see you all. It feels great over here, Sati! Well done. Oh and, I'm in the King's Landing of America: NYC.

It might be a mix of people like you guys leaving and the ones that are still there having nothing but negativity for the show, but it's really not a good place at the moment. And I frequently lurk at previously.tv and some of the other sites mentioned in the welcome thread so it is really nice to see so many familiar members. And I love having all the new emoticons but can't find some of the ones I know so well. :group hug:

Love that! And yes, one of the first things I noticed was the ability to include gifs. Cool.

It can be a bit off putting... Also, a lot of people here seem to be from Previously.tv. Is it bad I've never heard of this site before?

Is it bad I've never heard of this site before? No, it's not bad. westeros.org can be enough to keep people busy. Well it was. I found previously.tv through iheartseverus actually. She linked to it in one of the unsullied threads and I've been visiting that and a few other forums ever since. However, other than Neogaf, most of the others are rather small. And yes, the purism at the other place is getting a bit out of a hand. I wondered why Ran would allow it and then I remembered how much of a purist Linda is. 'Nuff said.

I'm obviously not new but I figured this would be the best place to post to let all you beautiful fuckers know that I'M STILL HERE. I'm sure my absence went fairly unnoticed, but I just wanted to make this post so people know I'm still around and haven't mysteriously disappeared. I think I've only made a handful of posts in the past few weeks due to the stress of finals week and ensuing anxiety issues that I needed to handle and then the subsequent cooldown from those issues, but I'm here and hopefully I'll be posting more often now. Though I have been lurking, mostly to stare at Fire and Blood's avatar.
