I am willing to look past Olly and say the Wall. Second for me would probably be KL

I ended up voting for the WF section of the Northern storyline specifically. In particular because, while I expected Jon and Stan's material to be as strong as it was this season, I had been very against the idea of Sansa going to WF when it was proposed as an s5 theory... so it being so good really took me by surprise. It ended up being one of the most consistently powerful, well-acted storylines the show's ever done. Despite my prior objections I had to to it in the end. It was controversial of course and I know a lot of folks fucking hated it, but I liked it the best this year particularly because of how much I expected not to like it and how much it won me over. Sophie and Alfie's chemistry really made it work, while Michael McElhatton and Iwan Rheon's nastiness sold the stakes of it all. And the mini-arc of Sansa going from "I won't touch you," when Reek says "take my arm" in ep. 506 to the two of them holding hands and jumping in 510, was one of the better, subtler setups and payoffs I've seen in GoT.

Lol at WF getting more votes than Meereen. WF was a hot mess for most of the season. Meereen was easily the 2nd best storyline after the Wall imo.

Meereen would have been my vote if it hadn't dropped off a cliff after episode 4. I thought it was pretty terrible in the latter half of the seasons, save for Daznak.

The first half was definitely stronger than the second, but it was still miles better than WF. My only real gripes with it were killing Barristan off so early, and Dany feeding people to her dragons.

Even the best Meereen will suffer from it not being in Westeros and us having no prior connection to it before Dany settled there. It also becomes increasingly obvious (as it does in the books) that the story is having Dany spin her wheels until she is allowed to invade Westeros.
