^Well, she DID just find out her brothers are still alive... Exactly, Sansa and Theon, Roose and Ramsay seem to be the only ones who know that Bran and Rickon are still alive.

Maybe I'm stupid atm, but why would Sansa go for Davos? She doesn't even know him.

I still don't have a clue, but what I'm hoping for is that resurrected Jon, free from his vows, plays Stannis' role in ADWD and unites the North against the Boltons, with Davos and Mel as his advisors. Not to take Winterfell for himself, but to give it to Rickon or Sansa. If Stannis is truly dead, Jon can become the new Stannis.

Who will fight the Boltons and rally the Northmen against them then? Are they really going to keep their position as Wardens of the North until the Others invade and take the North from them?

Sansa, Rickon and possibly Davos will unite the North, Jon comes along and there we have it. Resurrected Jon surely has an own story line in TWOW.

IF Sansa goes north for protection from the Boltons at the wall, Davos may stay to protect her once he finds out what happened to Stannis (assuming Brienne escorts Sansa up there). Or, he may decide to take the black. Or, he may help Jon after his return. I like the idea of him killing Melisandre but I suspect she has more to do first. It would also be cool for him to go get Rickon but how will they know where he is at this point unless they bring in the Manderlys? No one knows Osha took him up there on the show ... they have to bring back some Northern Lords to get into that.

It would be convenient to Sansa and co to meet the Umbers and thus learn the location of Rickon. If we ever get showManderly, he will never know where Rickon is. Davos or someone might be sent there by Jon/Sansa to get their support.

I have no idea how Davos would hear about Rickon, unless one of the Umbers (That's where they got sent in the show, right?) shows up and says something. As for Mel, I still think he kills her. What I assumed would happen is that a member of Stannis' army that knew where Davos was being sent to would probably send a raven with what really happened in it. But who knows if that would happen now.
