I must admit I wasn't aware of the phenomen of shipping until GoT. I want Jamie/Brienne and Gendry/Arya to see each other again, but more in a platonic way. In the books I kinda liked the idea of Justin Massey and Asha.

Jaime and Brienne for life! I like the idea of Gendry and Arya when they're older. (I'm kind of peeved they made Gendry SO much older than her in the show, then I get over it because Joe Dempsie is hot) I like show DanyxJorah too, even though they will never be together and I never rooted for them in the book. Dany doesn't deserve Jorah, I mean in the show. What a bitch. Sorry Dany fans, but my God he would die for her. And now he didn't hit that thing AND caught Greyscale

I ship myself with Missandei (show version), Melisandre (show and book version), Sansa (show version), Dany (show version), Tyene (show version) and Cersei (show and book version).
As for actual shipping, I've read some good Tormund and Maege Mormont theories.

I'm incorrigible! I ship Sansan, Jaime and Brienne, Arya and Gendry, all of those. But I don't like Jon/Dany - nope - yuk - no way!

I'd say if there is one thing I don't want to happen in the books it is Jon and Dany getting together in any way shape or form. I am sure GRRM is heading for that to happen but it seems so trite to me.
I will say the closest thing I probably come to actual shipping of a couple that obviously will never happen was Robb and Margarey...I always thought those two would have had a potential to be a good duo. I guess that is a ship for bizzaro GoT in my head.

One question: are all "ships" romantic relationships? because if they can also be friendships or fraternal, I like Brienne and Pod, Tyrion and Bronn (more in the show than in the books), Marg and Loras and the cutest, most awesome relationship the books have IMO is Arya and Jon (but as siblings, I don't like the idea of them as a couple)

I ship a lot of those. ha Like Stannis and Davos. BFFs for life.

I have a lot of FriendShips on this show: Jaime/Brienne-I am probably one of the few who does not romantically ship these two but I love their friendship Tyrion/Bronn-before Tyrion's trial ruined everything Ned/Jory- One of the saddest interviews was Sean Bean saying it is hard to have to watch my best friend get stabbed in the eye Margaery/Sansa-I was glad the show did not have Margarey abandon Sansa after the Tyrell marriage idea for her did not work out (that happened in the book). I liked having Littlefinger mention to Roose that Margarey is very fond of her. Jon/Sam-One of the true friendships in the show and books...even though they are bit estranged at this point in the book. Theon/Robb-A good friendship ruined by betrayal. Arya/Gendry-Another friendship that many romantically ship but I just like them as friends. Davos/Stannis/Shireen-his devotion to them is absolutely heartwarming. FamilyShips... I loved the Stark family relationship...especially among the siblings (including Jon) with how they fondly think of each other, how they all have to be brave like Robb. I loved how Robb and Arya, especially, accepted Jon as a brother and always thought fondly of him. Jaime and Tyrion, before the jail release ruined everything.
