A number of people would argue that there aren't even that many great moments at the end of AFFC/ADwD to dramatize. Probably a big reason why they decided to go all out on Hardhome and bring the White Walkers back into the mix.

Besides Theon's escape, Daznak's Pit, Walk of Shame, and For the Watch, there really aren't.

Daznak, for the watch, walk of shame, "Fire and Blood" speech, Brienne taking Jaime, battle of Ice, the release of the dragons... There are actually more shocking momments than in most books (too much IMO). Problem is that the build up to them wouldn't work on D&D's plan.

People who say they won't watch anymore are the best. Come back to me in a couple weeks and tell me that you haven't watched the episodes since and then I'll at least be a little impressed. People have been saying that since the RW and they always tune it for the next episode. That said, this season I really fear for the show if they off both Stannis and Jon while letting the Boltons get away with it. Especially Jon dying if they leave no indication that he can be resurrected. That could actually make a lot of people stop watching.

I wonder how this season would have went if D&D planned 8 seasons. It would have gone very sloooooooooooooooowly. And it seems a lot of people think it has already anyways this year... This season is so back loaded! Things are really going to start accelerating. I am totally discombobulated trying to figure out what will be in episode 10! Still don't have the title of that one. Season's past have had a lot of set-up too, but I suppose the general audience is not into that sort of thing? Anymore? I do wonder if Winds of Winter is up there with Storm of Swords? GRRM has a snarl of arcs that god-only-knows how he is going to sort out. I do wonder , there is still time for season 5 to do some major record busting , is HBO still keeping the gate open about that season 8? We need the Oracle of Delphi now 'cause it's hard to figure HBO, who have tacitly green lighted season 7 with those contract extensions. Then we have HBO's high muckamuck's talk about extensions and movie stuff, and even David Benioff waffling , in recent times, away for the hard stop 7 to 7.5.

Never thought i'd miss Arianne. But her storyline was better than whatever they are trying to do on the show. The episode was okay....don't really like anything thats happening in KL, Dorne. Sansa's wedding...just what were they thinking. no one likes that decision Cersei is an idiot confirmed. Did lol when she was trying to be Tywin and Olenna's just like no.

I obviously feel bad for Sansa and hope her character strikes back at some point. Just hope she's not pregnant. That is my fear right there I thought it was a solid episode minus the Sansa and Ramsey stuff. The only good things I have to say about that is yes, Sansa's wedding dress looked gorgeous, Alfie's acting was top notch again, and at least we were spared the sight of what happened though hearing the sounds and seeing Theon cry was terrible enough. Didn't miss Jon and Dany one bit. I wish Dorne was a little more developed than what it has been so far. I agree that Sand Snakes character development is just reduced to "fighting machines" and that's not doing those characters any justice whatsoever. Tommen needs to abdicate the throne, retire to the Quiet Isle and a start Westeros first kitten rescue. He is a couple lunches short of a picnic basket and is a terrible king. Nicer than Joffrey, but completely inept. Seeing Margarey get arrested was a bit surprising although I know that happens in the book. I will say that I felt this episode was Finn Jones best work because they finally gave him something meaty to do. I am pretty sure Oleanna is going to be responsible for Cersei's eventual arrest. My absolute favorite part of the episode was Arya and Jaquen. Probably my best performances of the episode followed by Alfie and Finn. The Hall of Many Faces was so cool. And the scene where he was cracking the whip at her was so well acted by both of them. I like the other girl (does she have a name, No One #1?) too. I had to laugh at Tyrion just basically rendering 5 years of this show and books pointless : Why do you follow Dany? Did you know her father liked to burn people alive? We are going to put a woman on the throne who has NEVER stepped into Westeros? All good questions, finally someone had a character on the show ask the questions that needed to be asked! Nice to see Mr. Eko show up! Nice work by Iain Glen when Tyrion tells him what happened to his father. And seeing Peter Dinklage from the previously in season 1 shows me that he's aged a bit from the first season or they've made him up well to look haggard and older.

Ok, time for more coherent thoughts. I loved all of Arya's scenes! They're actually making the House of Black and White interesting, which is awesome. Maisie killed it in the Game of Faces scene. I really felt for her. Praying that Tyrion and Jorah's recent capture accelerates their arrival in Meereen. I'm still convinced that the Wheel speech is delivered to Tyrion, so he has to be put before Daenerys before episode 9 for that to happen (unless she returns to Meereen post-Daznak but I'm still wholly doubtful that they would feature her closing speech like that in the trailer). Houses Tyrell vs Lannister is still hilarious The Queen of Thorns is such a treat. At least we have ginger Sansa back.

Omg, I never even thought about her being pregnant. Fuck. Sansa giving birth to a trueborn Bolton The ONLY way I would accept that would be if her kid took the name Stark.

Look, I HATE the Sansa storyline with the fire of 10,000 suns. Unless somehow Sansa invents a machine gun and goes all Rambo on Ramsey and Roose, I'm probably never going to like that storyline. But I am not going to delude myself or anyone else and say "I'm done with the show."..since I will be parked on my couch crocheting in anxiety as I watch next week's episode. And honestly, I should have been after Ned, Robb and Catelyn died (singing It's so Hard to Say Goodbye right now and pouring some drink on the ground for the fallen). I get disappointed in some show choices too, but there is too much good about the show most of the time that I'll be here until the end. Probably so will most of the people who say they are "done." I'll save my issues with the Sansa storyline and Bryan Cogman's comments for the Sansa thread later.

If Sansa does get pregnant, I hope she parades him or her around Winterfell and in front of Ramsey and Roose as "ROBB STARK." Or if she has a girl, "Catelyn Stark."

My Unsullied friend does not like what they're doing this season. I told her Sansa isn't supposed to be in Winterfell but that's about it. She says its boring this season and that no one is doing anything except Stannis. Ha. If they do what you say for Jon and Stannis or Shireen then I don't think Unsullied will be happy.

Sansa eventually cuts Ramsay's throat with Catspaw (I hope LF left where she can find it) and changes her son's last name to Stark, she raises him , he turns out to be an honorable man and sits the Iron Throne as Eddard Stark I.
