I was thinking about what might happen in Season 6 and what they could do to make a LSH reveal still plausible. I know that she is cut, but this speculation is just for fun and to distract me from my grieve. My idea was that they could have Bran looking into the past in 6x01. He could actually see different things that happened off-screen, for example Nymeria pulling Cat's body out of the river and/or the BwB finding her body. Then we'd have Brienne travelling through the Riverlands and meeting various people who say that the BwB have been killing Freys since the RW and that there are rumours they have a new leader called Stoneheart. Later in the season Brienne would then meet her. My point is that it is still possible to do the storyline without making it too jarring. I mean, they are bringing back Bran, the Freys and the Greyjoys and probably also the Tullies and the BwB. Some of these characters have been off-screen for as long as Catelyn has. If they can bring back these characters, they could also bring back Catelyn. In addition, having Bran seeing into the past and how his mother's corpse has been pulled out of the river, would explain everything.

In the casting calls there is a Bower, who is "numb to the horror he serves." LSH? I doubt it, but you can hype it.

We are going back to the Riverlands, the casting info confirms that. I wonder how much AFFC/ADWD content D&D plan to adapt now.
They definitely opened the door for an angry LSH figure-head to ask why Brienne she didn't protect Sansa. I still think LSH a longshot.

What other titles can they give us trolling LSH? "Sword" (Instead of Brienne's word, it will be about someone else finding Valyrian Steel) "She Don't Speak" (Plot twist, Arya wins back her eye sight, but then her ability to speak is taken away ala Ariel) "Hanging" (Instead of hanging Freys, Margaery hangs her head in shame) "LOL Lady Stoneheart" (self explanatory)

I bet they will use Family Duty Honor and then it turns out it's just Edmure and Blackfish and some crap with Jaime/Cersei/Brienne relating to family and duty

Ep 6x04: "Catelyn Stark Rises from the Dead as Lady Stoneheart"
Michelle Fairley is nowhere to be seen in this episode.

"Heart of Stone" or "Stoneheart" will probably be used for the episode where Tyrion learns he did contract greyscale in Valyria afterall, but on his internal organs rather than externally.

Ep 6x04: "Catelyn Stark Rises from the Dead as Lady Stoneheart" Michelle Fairley is nowhere to be seen in this episode. Her corpse washes up and someone says "oh shit its Catelyn Stark." Then Brienne appears and says "Lady Catelyn, I found your daughters... and they ran away. Both times because I got caught up doing something else, but... y'know..." I bet they will use Family Duty Honor and then it turns out it's just Edmure and Blackfish and some crap with Jaime/Cersei/Brienne relating to family and duty To be fair, an episode with the Tullys returning would be awesome. Though I never want to see Brienne again, unless she manages to Brienne ex machina herself into the middle of the army of the dead beyond the wall. Though knowing my luck she'd kill them all... "Heart of Stone" or "Stoneheart" will probably be used for the episode where Tyrion learns he did contract greyscale in Valyria afterall, but on his internal organs rather than externally. Dick-Greyscale. The cock merchants would be far less interested in Tyrion after that.

They have this incredible scene in the show, that perfectly sets up Lady Stoneheart, but they just decide not to do anything with it. They cast one extraordinary talented actress to play Catelyn, but they completely underuse her and even deny her the "second act" of her storyline.
This is something I'll never be able to comprehend, why the hell would they get rid of one of the book's most sinister, disturbing and brilliant storylines?
The expression on Catelyn's face, when she delivers that amazing line ("And then we will kill them all!") gives me goosebumps.

The only hope we have is the fact that they haven't replaced her storyline with something else so far. All hope dies the moment they bring back the Tullies, the BwB, the Freys and a Brienne/Jaime reunion without LSH in sight. But for now there is still hope.

I'm so wrapped up in this fandom that I googled "D&D troll" and was legitimately surprised that the results weren't about Game of Thrones.

Adding to my last post: the other thing that would explain her delay is of course that they wanted Jon's death to have a bigger impact. Even fewer people would have deemed him dead if Stoneheart had been in the seasons 4 or 5. But I think others have already mentioned this. I didn't particularly hate this and last season, but I do believe that my enjoyment during future rewatches of S4 and S5 would be enhanced if LSH were to be in season 6.

Please, R'hllor, give me my Lady
