They have stated outright on the show through the High Sparrow that The Mother's Mercy is their term for the Walk of Shame which is of course happening in this episode. Yeah, they often have dual meanings but it very much makes sense that one of the season's climatic events that happens in this episode is referenced in the episode title.

Best thing is, it can apply to so many other storylines that if LSH didn't exist it would still make perfect sense as a title. High Sparrow's line to Cersei, Dany with her 'children', Selyse and Shireen (can't tell if it's a good or bad sign on that front), Gilly and little Sam.

Yeah, but still, you have to admit, using that title in an episode that doesn't have LSH is pure trolling.

Gentle mother, font of mercy, save us all from war, we pray... I believe that's how it went. So wouldn't that relate to this title as well. Hopefully we get a rendition of that over the end credits.

Maybe Sansa and Theon escape in episode 9, run into BriPod and run into BWB and Mother Mercy in 510? It'd be lovely to see Sansa reunited with her mother. Imagine if they swap Catelyn out for Lysa. Lady Squished-Heart.

If they end up having no Lady Stoneheart or at least a teaser of her, such as a body being taken out from a river or a resurrection ritual, I will lose my shit. If it does end up having no LSH at all, after the title being called Mother's Mercy:

Isn't she called Mother Merciless actually? Not Mother Mercy? Nope. I copy & pasted that straight from my e-book.

Isn't she called Mother Merciless actually? Not Mother Mercy? In the novel's text it's Merciless but in appendix it's Mercy

It's only a title.

But remember that the titles often give hints as to what is in the episode, as well as often having a double meaning. Take 'The Children' for example.

Surely they must have known that book readers would assume that "Mother's Mercy" must have something to do with, well, "Mother Merciless". Not to include her, despite this being the title of the episode, would be pure evil.
Stoneheart is controversial, I know there are a lot of people who hate the character, and although I personally disagree, I can understand the reasoning. But there are also those who love Catelyn and love Stoneheart and who were really looking forward to having her on the show since the beginning, basically. Not to include her at all is bad enough, but to actively troll book readers, that's just cruel and honestly kinda assholeish.
But I will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best. Who knows? Maybe they'll surprise as all. Personally, I don't think it would be too late to introduce Stoneheart now. The last episode of Season 4 would have been the perfect opportunity to have the reveal, but it could still work, it really depends on how they do it. However, I do believe that this is their last chance to introduce her, Season 6 would be too late, so I guess it's now or never.

It's still strange to me that certain alumni like Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion) was at the Season 5 premiere. I know Addy showed up, as well as others but it was such a weird cameo to me. His part was so small and so long ago. He straight up denied being in this season but maybe he's lying.
Thoros of Myr got a namedrop.
It would make an epic epilogue, wouldn't it?

Do we think there is a possibility D&D don't know of her other names? Surely they know, right?

Our balls are going to be busted for sure.
