The main problem with the post ASoS Arya arc in the books (which will be mirrored on the show) is that the anticipation the audience has for her going to the HOBAW is almost immediately tempered when it becomes obvious Arya's training is less "how to kill people in really cool ways" and more an existential mediation on how you lose your identity. Not amazing television. They're smart if they skip to the assassinations ASAP.

She has already skipped 2 out of 4. It looks like she won't be in episode 5 either and for some reason I don't think she will be in episode 8. She's in the summary for 508. Shit, you're right I don't know what she'll be doing in all these episodes then.

I think if Arya's book material is completely exhausted by the end of the season, which I'm skeptical of but it's possible, then I guess they would just have her skip the finale? I don't think they'd go into TWOW spoilers for one of the major characters like that by an episode. I think Arya is the Bran of this season and will skip a lot of episodes. She'll probably skip episode 505 and maybe even 506, appearing again only in 507 and 509. I don't see her being out of 3 episodes in a row.

I have a hard time believing she'll be out of 2 episodes in a row which is why I think we'll at least check in with her this week.

My guess for a potential 505 scene for her would be Jaqen explaining the role the Faceless Men played in the Doom of Valyria, to set up (or even to lead in to) Tyrion and Jorah's boat trip through those parts.

The FM had a hand in the Doom of Valyria? I don't remember that. Azor H. Ahai, I'm feeling so damned dumb today

I can't remember the history of the Faceless Men, but I think they were started by Valyrian slaves? Hence, they hate Valyria.

I think only Jon, Tyrion, Stannis, and Sansa are in the running for being in all 10 episodes so far, since King's Landing doesn't appear in the promo, but I guess there still could be one scene with Cersei or Littlefinger arriving in KL.

I can see Stannis skipping two (506 and 508, I think) and Jon potentially skipping 509, but yeah I really think Sansa and Tyrion will be in all 10 at this point.

It's just interesting since Sansa had the least chapters left to adapt, but having her more or less replace Jeyne Poole, really helped in Turner's favor.

Is there any indication Sansa is in episode 6? I hope so. Before all the news about Winterfell trickled in I thought this would be her smallest season but I'm loving how much concentration she's getting.

It's always remarkable to me that you two always know all this stuff. Mind-boggling. You guys must spend a lot of time staring into the flames and ...seeing stuff.
