The Game Awards are starting in a few minutes. My personal Game of the Year is "What Remains of Edith Finch". Sadly, it's not nominated for that, but it is nominated in several other categories, and I hope it wins them all. Never heard of this. Even though you probably talked about it at length in this thread at some point.

In the history of human kind, no one has ever loved another person as much as Geoff Keighley loves Hideo Kojima.

I find the lack of Overwatch love on this forum disturbing. Daniel has put like eighty hours into it in only a month since he started playing. I clock in at around ten hours, but I also really suck at the game. I love it so much, I love the characters, the humour, the art style, everything ... and I want to be good at it, but it's just not my genre.

When it comes to FPS games I prefer something more realistic like Battlefield. I've heard nothing but great things about Overwatch, though, and might try it out someday.

It's fine for firing up and having fun in for an hour or two with friends. But it's never held my interest or attention for long; especially in solo queue. Contrast with DOTA, although a different genre, which I could spend 20 hours a day playing in solo queue. I love Blizzard and love the lore given to each character, but it's never really captivated me. Further, the esports aspect of it makes me laugh, especially Overwatch League and the $20m buyin price.

1:06 He said it, he said the thing! "Whatever." - Squall Leonhart What did they do to my gurl Terra, though? She went from emotionally underdeveloped and aloof to quirky and upbeat. That voice actress is an awful fit for her character. They seem to have turned her into the Yuffie/Selphie/Rikku/Vanille character archetype. Why? I want to love you Square Enix, I want to love you so bad ... why are you making it so difficult? How many goats do I have to sacrifice at the altar of Square for them to learn how to do some decent writing again?

Reminder that when the holiday sales come out if you want a game with a phenomenal story - purchase NieR: Automata.

I can now ride a Chocobo in Assassins Creed Origins and I don't know how to feel about that.
I can also wield light up Final Fantasy esque weapons. So wierd. Bayek was the original weeaboo, confirmed.
