Wait, Black Sails is a prequel to Treasure Island? I never knew ... I love Treasure Island. Yup. Most of season 1 is not great, but the last couple episodes are pretty and the last three seasons are top quality television. It's legitimately one of the all-time best shows that nobody watched, which is sad but Starz is becoming known for incredible shows that they can't properly advertise I would recommend it to everybody, its truly incredible storytelling. I would especially recommend it to those who like Treasure Island. And I would ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY recommend it to you because there are things that might interest you in it that I won't get into for spoiler reasons, but I would be interested to hear your opinion on.

I might check it out, Treasure Island is one of my all time favourite novels. It's only 38 episodes in total, so it can go pretty quick, especially once it gets good. I started reading Treasure Island again after watching and it's still the same book, but its interesting to read it filling in the blanks.

It's been years since the last time I read Treasure Island. But it's pretty much the book of my childhood, together with The Little Prince and The Three Musketeers.

I HATE JOAN CRAWFORD. Feud has me mad about something that literally happened like 60 years ago.

Basil Enid day dreamer did any of you finish watching Legion yet? Interested to know what you've thought of the finale I watched up to episode 3, and I wanted to binge the rest of it with my boyfriend this weekend, but we ended up playing Kingdom Hearts instead. Maybe I'll watch the rest by myself, I don't know. Otherwise I'll have to wait until Friday.

It wrapped up S1 nicely while still setting the stage for S2 and it was actually easy to follow for once. I thought it was the weakest episode of the season, but still good (which speaks to the quality of the show). Did you catch the post-credits scene? I stayed tuned because I just had...a feeling something was coming, so I was lucky! I assumed it was the Equinox D3 said they would send in, since that never appeared. And looking around the internet others agree.
On the episode itself I loved the opening with the burned guy and his life and showing what he suffered after Syd fried him. The interrogation scene between him and Melanie was cool too, with Melanie giving off an almost Magneto vibe with her "mutants Supreme, humans will go the way of the dinosaurs" spiel. Final confrontation with the Shadow King was well done and it now makes sense that Syd kept seeing Angriest Boy in the World - Farouk was part of her from the E1 kiss with David. The scene with David and Kerry charging each other looked awesome. I also liked how Ptolmey was shown to be very willing to take David down because of how dangerous he was - hence running in with the gun at the end. He didn't care if he killed David, he was looking at the bigger picture.
Cannot wait to see Aubrey Plaza and Jermaine Clement paired up next season. Absolute highlights of this great cast

day dreamer you watch Agents of Shield too right? I'm not the only one? (I know someone else on the board mentioned it anyway) I usually don't talk about it but I think the last few episodes have been really great! In fact season 4 in general has been pretty solid.

The Ghost Rider arc of S4 was really good, IMO. I'm having a hard time with the LMD story because Westworld did the same thing only better. I found myself frustrated with this last episode (even though Elizabeth was so good!) because it's all so plot driven and I hated Ward. That dude is the last person I wanted to see back.

My biggest problem with S4 is that the Ghost Rider arc just sorta stopped so suddenly. The characters all just went away and were never mentioned again. Hopefully they'll bring them back at some point cause it was really good. But I think the transition from the LMD story to the "What If" is a lot smoother. I don't think they're really trying to top Westworld since they don't seem to be touching on any stuff about consciousness. So I'm really happy they're not just copying what Westworld did and focusing on their own story. I was worried they would just have Ward be a bad guy again after two-and-a-half seasons of that, but I was pleasantly surprised they're doing something a little different this time and making him more of a good guy. Maybe he'll be more tolerable for you if he's different like this. But the second he becomes an asshole again I'm also gonna be a little irritated about the repetition (and it's definitely coming )

Ward to me was more interesting as a bad guy lol. I've never cared for him or Daisy. I like FitzSimmons, May, Coulson, and Mack.

Initially I wasn't a fan of Radcliffe but I think he's gotten better since he was given a larger role and stopped being too comedic. Though I wasn't a fan of the two who left last season to make their own show (which never got picked up). I really hope they don't come back. I'm really interested to see who they bring back inside the alternate reality. There's a surprising number of dead people on this show.

I just finished 13 Reasons Why. That was...uncomfortable viewing. (It was well done though. It's not supposed to make you feel comfortable. But damn. Not prepared for it emotionally.)
