Young CGI Hopkins was pulled off pretty well. Shit has come a long way since CGI Livia Soprano. I thought for sure the host who was stuck down in those rocks was gonna kill one of the employees. When he started bashing his own head in I was like whaat Anyone else think Bernard could be a host with the dead kid being his backstory implanted by Ford. The scene where he was chatting with his wife might disprove it but she was only on a screen.

Good episode. Dolores is learning from her "mistakes" and remembering previous versions of her story. Her as "ALICE" was like dropping the hammer on the audience's head. I thought Teddy might have remembered some of his past story, but this episode disproved that, confirming that the writers have not cared enough to flesh out his past story. Right now, he's the show's version of Kenny. Nice touch having Maeve remember seeing Teddy in the facility. Nice to see Gina Torres as Bernard's (ex?)wife. The hosts are starting to rise up and I am stunned to say this that Hemsworth #3 might be the best actor out of the Hemsworths?????? Put under spoilers just in case.

So is the MIB showing up only to affected hosts? Is he the Arnold they were talking to in the videos when they can see someone but no on is in the room? It seems that no one sees him but them. Is he an implant? Is he real? Is he the other creator who Ford insinuated killed himself, Arnold? Is he a program written by Arnold?

I think Bernard is gonna be like Arnold - go against Ford and try to 'free' the hosts So is the MIB showing up only to affected hosts? It's odd we haven't seen him in person in the flashback. I am more inclined to believe he is MiB than that William is MIB which a lot of people think Also did you guys notice - violentdelights.freeforums.net/post/47/threadAlso - the finale is 91 minutes long Also my recap:

Great recap, Sati! I do think milk man (as I will call him) may have been like Maeve and seen what happens at the facility when the hosts get "repaired", "upgraded" and "created" Some Westworld humor: http://instagram.com/p/BLsM63ZgxcN

Is he an implant? Is he real? Is he the other creator who Ford insinuated killed himself, Arnold? Is he a program written by Arnold? Excellent observation!!!! I was wrong though!! I went back and watched the first two episodes. In the second episode, Hemsworth 3 is walking along a corridor with a no-name security person who points out what the MIB is doing with Lawrence in his village and asks if they should slow him down. Hemsworth tells him the gentleman gets whatever he wants. It's still possible that affected hosts are seeing the MIB in the faces of random guests but I'm less convinced of that now that we have confirmation that one guest actually killed that whole town. I think lines of code are triggering certain memories in the hosts. Dolores' father told her "These violent delights have violent ends." She changed after that. She said the same line to Maeve, and then Maeve started remembering. The MIB said this to the little girl and Lawrence: "When you're suffering, that's when you're most real." The little girl looked up, stopped crying, and told him where to find the maze. She says it's where the snake lays its eggs. And then they cut to Ford and the little boy, the steeple sticking up out of the desert, and a snake. Some other things I noted that I think could be significant: Judas steer. Dolores points out to Teddy in the first episode when he notes how the cows just go all at once that they don't, really; it just looks that way. They're following the Judas Steer. Is she the Judas Steer for the hosts? Bernard says "the park hasn't had a critical failure in over 30 years." It seems he meant there's never been a failure, but this could also foreshadow us learning what happened to Arnold. Did a critical failure at the beginning lead to his death? Did his own creation kill him? Perhaps MIB? MIB said that he was born in the park "in a sense." Music fun: The organ in the whorehouse is playing "Black Hole Sun" during episode 1. When Hector and his crew come shoot up the town, they play "Paint It Black." During episode two when Maeve is striking out, the organ plays "Paranoid Android."

What do you think the deal is with Armistice? She's so pretty, which is rare for an outlaw. It supports my personal theory, based on nothing but the fact that she looks like Charlize Theron, that she started out as a whore or in another role, but someone maimed her, and they thought it looked cool, so they kept her like that.

You really shouldnt, I only know it because like uber nerd I comply references from each episode Surprisingly no 'modern' songs last ep but they used Debussy's Reverie

I watched the original Westworld movie, and surprisingly to me, I really liked it. They definitely took a lot of elements from the original for the series, and that was cool to see. The tone is very different, and the context is completely different. Viewers in the early 70s hadn't yet given much thought to the nature of artificial intelligence or whether memories and consciousness equal humanity, while we have explored that theme many many times now. It's a favorite theme of mine, being a big fan of Bladerunner and Battlestar Galactica.
Yul Brynner's Man In Black is less mysterious seeker of truth via murder and more Terminator. I kept thinking of the Terminator as he pursued Richard Benjamin's character.

She was seen in flashback last episode - she was all scratched up when Ford was narrating how some of the hosts went mad from the voice of God. She has that gigantic snake tattoo which given the riddle is probably why MiB is interested in her as seen in next episode promo. It's not a scar - it's a tattoo: I thought it was scar at first too. Also in all of the idiot villages, out of all the idiots James Hibberd stands ALONE: www.ew.com/article/2016/10/19/westworld-game-thrones-crossover?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter

The plot twist with GoT world though is the hosts are allowed to kill the guests. Only way to honor GRRM But yes, Hibberd stands alone. No crossovers.
