Singer of Death just reminded me how awful Shannon Woodward is ugh
And yeah I think Tessa Thompson was really hamming it up.

Tessa Thompson looks so stiff when she tries to make her character look calculating and manipulative. It's just so blatant it hurts.
I just found out that she played Valkyrie in Thor Ragnarok. No wonder she look familiar.

I think they should cast someone similar to the woman who played Teresa.

Young, clipped, smart professionals is he new/upcoming thing now. Corporate boards even now are slowly transforming from the care home for the dead and nearly dying white man. And this show is set in a future so I quite like the casting. i didn’t hunk she was miscast personally. Just the weakest among a very strong cast

Yeh Tessa Thompson looks really young, but its says on google she is 34, so not that unrealistic! I really need to re-watch this series, only seen it once through and it is a very intricate show that is confusing as shit Glad you liked it Singer of Death i think my favourite part was when Bernard finds out who he really is, my jaw dropped

It was solid. ERW remains excellent and what a showcase for Jeffrey Wright.

I might be wrong but the last scene in the water under spoilers I believe the "hosts" were in the water. One of them was Teddy. I am guessing they thought they could get to the land beyond and being robotic, couldn't hack the water? Or Bernard, who woke up at the beach early on in the episode killed them off?

the cinematography is miles ahead of last year. the budget increase is obvious. so that was teddy in the water? I guess they're doing the two timelines thing again: Dolores& Ted, Maveve & Lee, and Bernard & Charlotte, and then jumping ahead to Bernard with Stubbs looking for the hosts. really really good

So apparently in the original westworld movie (which I haven't seen), Delos would use their technology to clone and then replace government figures and stuff. That's probably Delos's plan on this show too. Charlotte is collecting guests DNA and stuff, probably for their shady political stuff. That's cool.

FInally caught episode one. So good. Maeve/Thandie Newton is absolutely sublime. Can’t wait until she gets a chance to share the screen with Delores/ERW

I’m not watching simulcast so this is not episode 2 related yet. Anyone else notice the Delos guards in the premiere? Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but their appearance plus a couple of other hints in the episode suggest to me that the park might be on an Island in South East Asia. Like South China Sea kind of area. Maybe

The flashbacks to out of the park were my favorite part. I love futuristic shit.
So Arnold and Ford were basically doing demonstrations with the hosts outside of the park to try to get funding, and on one of the trips, Arnold brought Dolores to his house. That's so cool. I love the idea of the hosts out in the real world, and again when they were at the party for William and the Delos guy. Also Logan is apparently on heroin now, or something lol.
What did Logan show Dolores at the end of the episode? It just looked like construction, like he was building something. Was I missing something? Or are we not supposed to know what it is yet?

That was William. It looks like construction to me too but then Logan said something about a weapon. So I was like, what the hell did he show her? I don't think we are to know what it is yet. As much as I enjoyed the premiere, I loved this episode better.

It will probably be related to the nefarious stuff William implies when talking to his FiL, which seems likely, imo, to be some kind of data, DNA history, whatever mining on all of their clients. I guess the ‘weapon’ could be a facility where this info and biological data is kept? I dunno.

okay so, that british blonde robot, was she actually a human being and they copied her DNA or was she fooling logan? DAYUM
This episode i wasn't too much a fan of. There was a lot of cuts to different scenes, introducing the past was interesting for some background but also was a lot to process given there isn't clarity on the timelines
