Not to be *that* DC fan, but, and correct me if I'm wrong, it feels like they have put more women in 5 movies than the MCU has in like 13. That's pretty cool I guess. To be fair Mera's probably only gonna have like 1 or 2 lines in Justice League given how much they have to do, so she's really only a background character (for now; I'm sure she'll have a much more substantial role in Aquaman). Also DC tend to have more recognisable and famous female characters than Marvel. Wonder Woman ( who is now apparently a UN ambassador) is the obvious example, and basically anyone who knows enough about Batman probably knows about Harley. Before the whole MCU started, not many Marvel heroines were partucularly well-known. Black Widow? Scarlet Witch? Who? At the very least everyone would have heard about Wonder Woman, so it's no doubt she's introduced early on in the DCEU. Yeah that's true. Everybody knows who wonder Woman is, nobody's heard of Scarlet witch. But then again, no one knew who Enchantress and Katana were either, but now they've reached ~mid level~ success and recognizability. No one will recognize female Marvel characters if they won't put them in a damn movie lol. MCU is getting Hela, and they should have Black Cat on the way soon enough, so I'm sure it'll change eventually.

the MCU also has Jessica Jones and Patsy Walker, who are better written than most DCEU characters combined (in my opinion, of course). Quality over quantity.

This looks promising! Gal was a highlight of BvS, so I'm hopeful. If all else fails, it will at least be very pretty to look at.

This looks great. I think this will be the one DCEU finally gets right.

Have faith in Affleck. He'll make it right. He is the hero we need, but not the one we deserve.

So.. it's basically an all-female Suicide Squad?

That is it. There is no saving this. WB putting Ayer in charge of another movie after Squad debacle...shut it down, Affleck. Shut it all down.

WHY can't DC fans have nice things and we must be stuck with inept director and Megan Fox in talks for Ivy?

I have very mixed emotions on this movie.
I love the Sirens, I loved Margot's Harley, I loved the vibe of Suicide Squad.
I do not love David Ayer's track record. It is good that he's not scripting, because SS's script was just fine. A movie this big, this anticipated, this high-stakes, cannot be just fine.

I just lost all the hope when WB put this guy in charge. Why not go with Jenkins who is a woman and did Wonder Woman? Shouldn't this movie have a female director instead of a moron who shouts 'Fuck Marvel!' at the premiere and gets into twitter feuds with people?

Honestly it's still unclear who is exactly to blame for Suicide Squad. The editing and excessive stripping down of the movie until it was a bare-bones plot was somebody's fault, but I'm not sure whose. Ayer's vision that we were all anticipating is not what we saw on screen and were promised, which makes me think it was the higher-ups in WB. Not saying Ayer was perfect. The tattoos were strange. Joker was, well, fine I guess. His directing methods were strange and, at least with Leto, didn't work to the desired effect.
