My favourite part of this movie was watching Dave Bautista struggle to fit those tiny little glasses on his massive head I was sorry he had such a small amount of screen time as a character, I think they missed something there.

When I saw that on YouTube I thought it was a trailer, seemed odd, but thought they were using a clip from the film in a new innovative way, alas not, they should have since it was a nice touch.

They originally had Villeneuve's regular composer on the score but they recently replaced him with Hans Zimmer who scrapped everything Jóhann Jóhannsson had all ready done. I imagine the original score might have been more unique like Vangelis' original vision. I tend to find a lot of Hans Zimmer stuff now very same-same, but this was a film where that synth style really fit. The soundtrack isn't incredible, but there are two scenes in particular where it was perfect. But for most of the film it's just a Hans Zimmer blockbuster track which is fine, but not much that's particularly breathtaking.

I do notice the Zimmer and Wallfisch score 'shadows' Vangelis much of the time, mostly the more 'harsh' tones in BR1. Even the the soft themed music seem edgy. There is nothing like the BR1 main titles start and end, Wait for Me and Damask Rose , well mostly Vangelis's ear, in the film score, which is actually OK, but lacks innovation, to my ear. It was Villeneuve who said he scrapped Jóhannsson for something more 'Vangelis-like', so why not just ask Vangelis?

As I walked out of this film I had a this ‘story thought’ that would have put another real twist in the plot.
As K is about to leave Sapper's place and drone surveys the area and spots a small box , buried next to the tree. K recovers it and keeps it for himself. Later he finally opens it and finds two locks of hair. He has them examined. One belongs to a woman but has serial numbers on it, the other to a child with no numbers at all.
Rest of the plot the same.
Later K encounters , per the film, not Freysa, but a thirty years older Rachel, now the leader of the underground Replicants. The kicker being that she and Deckard separated, on purpose, 30 years ago , to keep the secret and hide their daughter, she and Deckard can never see one another agai

Even tho I'm too much of a caveman to appreciate this movie, I went and saw it anyway. And hoo boy was it good.
RIP my boo Rachael (and clone Rachael, that had me shook). I thought she was underused in the original, so it's kind of a bummer she was nonexistent in the sequel. Although, she was pretty much the driving force of this one, so she still had some presence. Besides the clone ofc. I thought the voice and the face were a little bit off, but it was still spooky seeing her walk in again, her hand in the pocket the same and everything. And then they just shot her :/
Despite being a sub-human, I did catch on that the girl behind the glass was the daughter during that scene. I originally thought her and K were siblings, like a little Luke and Leia thing, but then turns out K was the fake out. Cool.
Jared Leto being hyped as a big baddie then getting 4 minutes of screen time seems to be a recurring thing. The mean robot girl was good tho. She really liked to kick people in the face. I absolutely loved the scene where she kills Claire Underwood, the way we just saw it through the snowy window. Real purdy like.
I'm guessing the army of replicants and Deckard's daughter are setting up for a third movie? I would like that.

Also I hope the fact that it underperformed doesn't deter the studio from making a third and presumably finishing a trilogy. They teased that rebellion too much to not see it thru. Besides, Leto's character is still out there. Maybe they'll bump him up to seven minutes of screentime in the third one!
